Adron Dean Parkinson

Adron Dean Parkinson, 89, passed away Wednesday March 31, 2021 in Pocatello, Idaho. Adron was born on June 19, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Thomas Dean and Eva Irene Stephenson Parkinson. At the age of five months, Adron and his parents moved to Pocatello which became his home for most of his life. Adron attended school in Pocatello where he found pleasure spending time with friends, his cousin Bob, and playing trumpet in the Pocatello High School band. After graduation, he joined the Air Force. For the next four years he spent his time serving in the Korean War on a B-50 bomber squad. He was proud to be a veteran. After his military service he return to Pocatello to continue his education at Idaho State University. He loved being a Bengal. Life then took Adron for a 10 year stay to Seattle, Washington to work for Boeing Airlines. He enjoyed his time there, but his heart was always in Pocatello. So, he returned back to Idaho to begin a career in the dental industry as a denture technician. He enjoyed what he was doing and continued with that until he retired. On April 27, 1985 at the age of 53, Adron married Jeannie "Myrle" Horne. He loved the time that they spent together and his new extended family. Myrle passed away on May 26, 1996. Adron was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many different callings. Adron was a free spirit! He loved spending time in the mountains. He especially loved Island Park where he enjoyed fishing, camping, and riding his motorcycle. Life couldnt get much better for Adron than sitting around a campfire at the cabin with his extended family. In addition to the outdoors, he loved trains. He would hop a train at any chance he got. He also could be spotted while soaking in a hot tub at Lava Hot Springs. Adron loved ham radio. It was his true passion. He loved every aspect of it, especially the association he had with so many friends while pursuing that hobby. The last five years of his life he found pleasure in relaxing at his new residence at Brookdale Assisted Living center. Adron truly enjoyed a carefree and fun-filled life. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Dean and Eva Parkinson; and his sweet wife, Myrle. Graveside services, with military honors, will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 1 pm at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5th Ave. Pocatello, ID, with Jerry Meyers officiating.
