Aaron Michael Skeem, 49, passed away on October 16, 2023.
He was born on August 21, 1974, to Rulon LaMoyne and Lillie Fisher Skeem. He came into the world backside first and he was about three weeks late. The delivery was long and hard on baby and mother. As time went on, his parents noticed he didn’t see too well, and he was slow in doing some things.
He attended special needs classes in school. He attended Rigby Grad School until the family moved to Missouri so his father could attend Logan University in St. Louis, Doctor of Chiropractic. The family moved back to Idaho in 1989 where Aaron attended Marsh Valley High School, graduating in 1994. He then began working for New Day Products, performing in various capacities there, including custodial work in one business. It was located in Old Town Pocatello and there were quite a few bars nearby. The others who worked there didn’t like going out to dump the garbage, so Aaron would escort them out and back to the building. By this time, Aaron was almost 5’10” and weighed in at 200+ pounds.
Aaron was part of a family of eight. His passing has left a big hole in our family. He is survived by his siblings, Sharla, Kirsten, Raymond, LaDee (Travis), JaNae, Tyrell and Nora. He had a total of nine nieces and nephews, with four great nephews. We all love him very much and miss him already.
He is preceded in death by his father, LaMoyne; his grandparents on both sides, LaVoy and Verla Fisher and Lester and Verda Skeem.
A short family viewing will take place on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Wilks Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the Norton Cemetery in McCammon, Idaho.
