Velma Schultz

d. November 29, 2012

POCATELLO - Velma "Vicki" Schultz passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2012, just four days after marking her 100th birthday, though she never wanted anyone to know her true age. She always looked young for her age. She was born on November 25, 1912, in Overland, Kansas, to Harry and Faye Babb. Soon after her family moved out west and she attended school in American Falls. Vicki worked secretarial jobs for many years and also as a reporter for the newspaper in Blackfoot. She was married to Merrill Schultz. He passed away 20 years ago. Vicki's greatest joy in life was raising three rambunctious boys. She was a member of the Assembly of God church. Her greatest love was serving the Lord and being active in her church. She made many friends throughout the years and was known for her great faith. Vicki is survived by her three sons: Wayne (Marty) Schultz of Simi Valley, CA; Ron (Teresa) Schultz, of Monterey, CA; and Richard (Nancy) Schultz of Pocatello. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 10, 2012, at Mountain View Cemetery.
