Mary Lou Christensen, 87, of Pocatello, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at a local medical center. Mary Lou was born May 10, 1931, daughter of Thomas E. Zepp and Ora Curtis Zepp. Mary Lou was raised in Arbon Valley by her mother and stepfather Thomas C. Daniels. Mary Lou married Arvon E. "Chris" Christensen November 22, 1952 in Elko, Nevada and together they raised four children; Thomas George, Kenneth Arvon, David Keith, and Donna Marie. Mary Lou enjoyed camping, fishing and being outdoors with her family and friends. She spent many winters in Island Park, Idaho where she and Chris had a cabin and they would love to ride snowmobiles. She spent most of her life crafting. She loved painting, quilting and ceramics. She is most known for her famous crocheted pot scrubbers. She also loved to bake custom cakes for weddings and many, many childrens birthdays. Mary Lou was an active member of the 4th Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her step-children, Thomas (Sharon) Christensen, Kenneth (Nancy) Christensen, David (Fran) Christensen, Donna (Gene) Behunin; 22 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren and over 20 great-great-grandchildren. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Arvon "Chris" Christensen; her siblings; and 3 grandchildren. Per her wishes, there will be no funeral or viewing ceremony. Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5 th Ave. Pocatello, ID.
