Kirk L. Walton

October 25, 1948 — November 14, 2018

Kirk Leron Walton was born on October 25th, 1948. He was the youngest child of Parley Vern and Ina Leora Walton. Kirk spent his youth in the small town of Cokeville, Wyoming. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Mexico City Mission.

Afterward, he attended the University of Wyoming, earning a degree in Mathematics Education and a minor in Spanish Education. He met and married the love of his life 1971. They had 6 children – 5 girls and 1 boy – and adopted a daughter from Australia when she came as a foreign exchange student. Together they shared a wonderful life filled with laughter and hard work.

Kirk loved the outdoors and spent many hours camping, fishing and hunting. Kirk had a great work ethic. He worked as a school teacher, coach, construction worker, crusher operator, maintenance supervisor and so much more. He shared his knowledge with others and was always the helper. He'd show up and help with any project. Kirk fought a valiant fight against pancreatic cancer. He graduated from this world on November 14, 2018.

Kirk is survived by his wife, Ida. His children: Angi Walton (Jody Parker), Jennefer (David) Procarione, Stephanie (Jay) Nelson, Nicole (Jeff) Keller, Sandi (Chris) Nelson, Scott Walton (Kelly Swisher). Natalie (Cameron) Gilbert. His grandchildren: Samantha, Zachary, Charles, Jaydon, Dakota, Kyler, Macady, Tyonna, Joshua, Nathan, Alexander, Cameron, Natalie, Terra, James, Tyler, Celeste, Aralynn, Benjamin, Ariana, Ryker, Emily. His sisters Verdi (Bud) Dayton. Louise (Gary) Barnes. Melba (Merrill) Clark. Mother-in-law Nola Fallows. And countless cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and family. Until we meet again, Dad! We love you!

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 19, 2018 at the Cokeville First Ward Chapel, 725 E. Main Street, Cokeville, Wyoming. His interment will follow the services at the Cokeville City Cemetery.
