Katherine Ann Poteet, 66, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2018 in Pocatello, Idaho. She was born into this world as Kathrine Ann Blubaugh to loving parents; Kenneth Paul and Mary Nada Blubaugh on April 19, 1951 in Burley, Idaho. She was raised in the Mini-Cassia area (Burley, Heyburn & Rupert). She attended both Burley Jr. and Sr. High Schools.
At the age of 16 she met her first husband, William Leon Hosack. A year later she had her first child, a daughter, Leasa Marie. Unfortunately their marriage did not work out. A few years later she met another gentleman through her father, John Edward Fleming, they married in September of 1972 and in May of 1973 she had her second child, a son, Michale Leon. Katherine and John would later divorce. She then met Buck Poteet and they were married in 1977 but divorced in 1981. He was her last and final husband. From that point on, she raised her two children the best she could as a single mom.
With the help of her family; parents, brothers and sisters she raised two kids whom she was very proud of. At the age of 34 she received her first grandchild. She went on to have five more grandkids and twelve great grandkids.
She loved being around family and friends. She loved cooking big meals for holidays and playing with the grandkids. She enjoyed playing pool and watching her grandson, Roy Smith Jr., race at the Pocatello Raceway. She loved camping or even a day trip to the mountains. We will miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to aid in final expenses.
She is survived by; daughter, Leasa Smith of Pocatello; son, Mike (Angela) Fleming of Pocatello; grandchildren, Brandon Blubaugh, Ray Smith, Stephanie Smith, Alyssa Sorrel, Chris Rodgers, Lindsey Harrell; sisters, Delores Bennet of Burley, Cecila Eckley of Kimberly, Paulette Runyan of Pocatello and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by; her parents; brothers, Paul J. Blubaugh, Gary Saleman & Kenneth Saleman.
