Cheryl Olsen, 69, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018. She was born in Driggs, Idaho on January 1, 1949 to Sam and Elma Olsen. When she was 3 years old, she moved to Pocatello, Randolph St., at 5 years old to Ridge St. and at 8 years old, Hawthorne Rd. Cheryl graduated from Pocatello High School in 1967. When she was 3 years old, she had a burst appendix and was taken to the hospital in Idaho Falls. In 1967 she married Gordon Lee Poisel. They divorced in 1968. She married Frank Guyette in 1971 and they divorced in 1983. She then married Terry Brower in 1985, divorcing in 1986. As a teen, Cheryl worked as a waitress at Chopstix, Champ Restaurant and Sambos Restaurant. She was a Mountain Bell Operator in 1977; in 1988 she resided in Clifton, Colorado working in Grand Junction Colorado for Qwest. She retired in 1993. Cheryl was the Northwest region top accounts collection agent prior to retirement. She belonged to the IWBC, IBWA and the Teton Pioneers. She was a member of the LDS faith until 1987 when she then became non-denominational Christian (Calvary Chapel). Cheryl played the piano and the accordion. She was a rock hound and enjoyed lapidary. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping and hunting, oriental art, BINGO and Jackpot trips. She loved the color lavender and her favorite song was "Bridge Over Troubled Water". Cheryl never learned to swim. Cheryl is survived by her sons, Rick Lee Poisel and Samuel James Guyette, both of Pocatello, ID; sisters, Glenda Joyce Hall, Vicki Jean Olsen, both of Pocatello, ID, and Deede E.L. Draper of Scottsdale, AZ; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Leslie Olsen and Elma Leigh Kunz Olsen. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10 am at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID. Inurnment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
